677 concentration camps were set up during the Bosnian war in the early nineties. Bosnian Muslims, Serbs and Croats, the way the victims and the perpetrators within each community deal with this legacy will determine the countrys future. USPOMENE 677 will show you the viewpoint of each ethnic group through a new generation, the sons and daughters of that war, who are struggling to come to terms with their toxic past. USPOMENE 677 is a story of our time. But the time to tell this story is short. Today, in a Bosnia fighting for EU membership yet threatened by possible return to war, the new generations, often in contrast with their parents, are desperate to find a way to live together for a different, peaceful tomorrow. Will they succeed?

Shepherdesses are perfectly present-day, they often live alone but also with partners or with their family, and therefore they are fully involved in their social and economic communities. The film follows the director’s experience while living with them for some time, connecting with them deeply. These bonds of friendship and affection have become true narrative, spontaneous and intimate, of the protagonists’ motivations, difficulties and satisfactions.

30 years after the genocide-the first in Europe since World War II-survivors in Bosnia and Herzegovina persist in their quest to find their missing loved ones. This film traces the homecoming of Bosnian-American artist Aida Sehovic and her participatory, nomadic monument to the Srebrenica Genocide. With the monument coming to its final resting place after traveling the world for 15 years, those who remain gather at the site of the atrocities to fill thousands of small ceramic coffee cups in memory of the victims. As they collectively mourn, painful questions endure: What does "never again" mean in a world where perpetrators live with impunity? How do art and empathy help fill the void left by immeasurable loss and trauma?
