All the Way Home: A History of The Corrs

Nora, Kate, and Stevie have made it into their thirties, they live in Dublin, and they are all aware that the new Millennium has hurtled past, nothing much has changed, and it's about time they got a life. They have a combined age of 99. Between them they have slept with 47 men, broken 11 hearts, drunk approximately 5,000 pints, bought one house, buried two parents, failed one marriage, and produced one baby. They've been friends long enough to think they always will be...

When a ghost hunter show comes to town, it's up to Gethsemane and Eamon to solve the unexpected murder of the host, allowing the brand-new spirit to cross-over.

The Best of the Corrs has digital stereo versions of 18 of their greatest hits, plus six of these also in surround sound. For such an anthology the bonus features are especially poor, with a limited picture gallery and a DVD discography. The accompanying eight-page booklet does at least provide a useful insight into the making of the videos. It's also pleasing to hear the early and graceful instrumental track "Erin Shore" being used as the backing track for the menus.

Billy Connolly: Live in Dublin 2002 presents highlights from the Big Yin's 2002 stage tour. The program is divided in two, the first part offering an hour from his Dublin show, the second delivering 45 minutes of highlights from eight other performances. Now 60, age has not withered Connolly--even if, as he is fond of reminding us, his pubic hair has turned grey--and his restless energy, enthusiasm, casual obscenity, and anger is as intense as ever. And, of course, very, very funny. Whether talking about the horrors of a prostate examination or reminiscing about his youth, Connolly has the audience in hysterics.

Robert Nobel is the butt of classroom jokes and a victim of Niker the classroom bully. He is haunted by dreams that seem to tell the future as well as the past. His life changes when a storyteller invites some of his class to Mayfield House, a place Robert has already dreamed about. There he meets a spiky old lady called Edith Sorrel who chooses him as her partner. He embarks on a series of events that will change their lives forever.
