Father Lee is young and unconventional. He fell into temptation by a troubled woman named Donna, who accuses him of rape. Gangster Kim Fat is willing to help and has hired Koo as his defending lawyer. Fat believes in silence by violence, while Koo would rather try false witnesses. But Lee refuses to attack Donna in court for fear of hurting her again.

Hong Kong filmmaker Derek Chiu directs this quiet romance that recalls the gentle style of Francois Truffaut. Young and attractive Mandy (Yo Yo Mung) flees the hustle of Hong Kong proper and a failed relationship for the bucolic quiet of Peng Chau, one of several dozen communities located on the former colony's outlying islands. There she stays in a rooming house with the mute and slightly slow Kam Shui (Louis Koo). In spite of herself, she falls for the misfit, much to the consternation of Angel (Siu Au), Kam Shui's tomboyish best friend who also harbors feelings for him. Chiu masterfully brings out the nuances of life on the island in this simple tale, simply told.

Michael is a cop chasing uncommon serial killer Sung Ping, who one day kills off a scummy triad on almost a whim. Derek Chiu Sung-kei directs this low-budget yarn about a mild-mannered grocery store clerk named Sardine (Dayo Wong Chi-wah) who lives a highly ordered life in an apartment filled with canned goods. His equilibrium is smashed when his landlady evicts him to make way for her daughter Anna (Irene Wan Pik-ha) to move in. When the middle-aged woman keels over from a bad combination of Panadol and liquor, Sardine believes that he is responsible for her death and tries to hide the body. Trouble ensues when Anna finds the corpse in Sardine's apartment while Sardine contends with a devious fellow employee who tries to get him canned from the supermarket.

Diana and Wai have become overburdened with debt, and in a scheme to make some quick cash, they put together a fake "family" to go on a reality TV show. Their family is pitted against another one, and they must compete to see who can live off the smallest amount of money. But as the game approaches the end, the show's producer forces the director to make a few changes to boost ratings, which may inadvertently expose Diana and Wai for the frauds they are.

One day comes a substitute teacher who introduces the different possibilities of art to Child and that there is no right or wrong when it comes to painting assignments. There has never been anyone in her life that brings her such inspiration. Holding her charcoal stick in hand, Child finally knows whose portrait she should draw.
