A silent short film released as a prequel to the Malice Mizer’s third studio album merveilles, the film includes the music video of their single "Bel Air".

The film is based on a true story about an Okinawan sansen (3 stringed guitar) player named Ryo and his experiences growing up in Okinawa in 1968. Ryo meets an American military solider named George, and they discover that they have more similarities than differences. The atmosphere of the film is heavily charged with discrimination and prejudice- Okinawans and Japanese (yes there is a difference-big difference in fact), US military and Japanese/Okinawans, officers and enlisted soldiers- and takes place with echoes of the civil rights movement lingering in the backdrop.

Ten years ago Keisuke went to Tokyo to become a musician. He receives a call from his far off hometown informing him of the funeral for his older brother who went missing while fishing at sea. Having lied he achieved success in Tokyo, Keisuke is hesitant but nevertheless returns home. Gathered at his parent's house are his father who lives alone; his brother's ex-wife; Hiroshi, a classmate who was the last to see his brother; and Hiroshi's younger sister Nagi who bears a limp.

This anthology-style mystery series is part of the D‑5 PROJECT, centered around Detective Office 5 - a long-running private detective agency in Kawasaki. Each detective is known only by a number rather than a name (e.g., Detective 596, 532), with standalone stories featuring different characters and surreal, quirky cases.
