The Stockholm publisher Adam, a wealthy gentleman with a favorable appearance, has completely undeservedly gained a reputation for being a great Don Juan. Women of all ages are drawn to him and give him their invitations. To be at peace, Adam escapes on his sailboat out into the archipelago and settles down on a small islet. But the ladies follow him and in their footsteps follow jealous fiancés and angry courting cavaliers.

"House of Silence" - A banker and his old housekeeper are brutally assassinated by a gangster called Smith. The murders are arranged so that they may look like a showdown between two victims. The police force are divided on the murders. Susanna Braun, an old acquaintance of the banker, claims that he could not have murdered his housekeeper. A baron who owns a night club is in need of money. He does business with gangsters. The baron involves Smith in the kidnapping of Susanna Braun.

The Talk of the Town

In a small town anonymous letters are delivered to five different families. The letters are signed "Veritas" (Truth). They tell of a series of events and conditions that the recipients thought was forgotten and buried long ago.

Yellow Ward

A chief physician at a women's clinic is against abortion. He strongly influence the patients not to abort. But there are doctors who think differently.
