Raja Bersiong, the Fanged King, is a cannibal monarch in the Kedah epic literature Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa (HMM). A king with an intense appetite for human blood that over time he grew fangs and began attacking his own people to feast on them.

Karim migrates from a village to Singapore to improve his life. He falls in love with Nora at first sight. But then his mother wants him to marry Gaya.

The story is about a married couple who have five kids and are living a very poor life in a rural area on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. All of their kids try to help out so their family would earn a better living. The family is very close to their neighbours who happens to try and help out the best that they can to ease off their suffering. Unfortunately one day their parents passed away leaving them on their own with no one to care to. Their neighbours tried their best to take care of them but they were a huge bunch so they have decided to give them away to other foster parents but they manage to run away to the big city.

Lela and Manja are two siblings who are being abused by their stepmother, Dang Suri. They are being tortured to do daily errands without any pity on them. Their live's became more unberable as their father leaves for a month on duty. Within this time they are being abused to the max while their stepmother starts a secret relationship with Tok Megat. One day as they were searching for firewood along the river they saw their stepmother fooling around with Tok Megat in the river. One day the father found out and was killed after. 'Sri Tanjong' tells the story of the plight of Tanjong and her younger brother Atan, who are orphaned after their mother passes away and are forced to move in with their stepfamily. They are despised upon by their stepmother who abuses them, making Tanjong handle all the household chores, and chastises Atan at every opportunity. Despite the maltreatment, Tanjong performs her tasks with diligence and prepares snacks for her brother to sell in the kampong, but she suffers the humiliation of a lecherous crook. Atan is eager to learn after watching a class in session teaching the Jawi alphabet, but is scolded for outsmarting his half-sibling. Tun Setia, a visitor from afar, sympathises with the waif siblings and desires to help them. He is determined to rid the kampong of crooks and pirates, and bring justice against the wicked.

They go on dates to the nursery, and spend time together (dancing) in a paradise-like garden (Alkaff Gardens). Even after Kassim returns to Kuala Lumpur to work in his benefactor’s rubber plantation, he never forsakes Rahimah and has a rendezvous with her in Singapore when the opportunity arises. Together again, they watch movies at the Rex Theatre, and vow to get married. Unfortunately, Kassim’s father insists on him marrying his benefactor’s daughter, Salmah, who is a rich and cultured girl. Kassim decides to fulfil his father’s death wish and marries Salmah. Eventually, fate brings Kassim to reunite with Rahiman again in their twilight years.

Hairi or Harry supported his mother and his younger brother from various jobs. He never work long enough each time because he always fight with his employers. His good friend, Joy worked as a mechanic. Hairi falls in love with Anita the daughter of a wealthy family. Yuosf, Anita’s brother disliked Hairi because of his background. Fight ensue between them which later killed Joy. Hairi wants to avenge Joy’s death. In a party at Anita’s house, Hairi shot Yusof with a gun he found and became a fugitive. Anita pleads for Hairi to surrender himself but failed.

A son leaves his widowed poor mother to make a fortune and promises to return for her. He rises up the ranks and even marries royalty but his promise is soon forgotten. When he returns to his homeland, he refuses to acknowledge her and his callous ways leads to tragedy.
