This light-hearted comedy takes place at and around a Parisien haute-couture fashion house and tells a love triangle story.

Geneviève, ruined and destitute, visits a former servant working for a count who is absent for the moment. He offers Geneviève the bed of the count, who returns unexpectedly. After some adventures, the count passes Geneviève off as his sister, then marries this young girl he so curiously met.

Two bank employees like Lucie, their colleague. They steal money from the cash register to gamble. Jean wins and Paul ends up in prison for five years. When he leaves, he discovers that Jean has become a businessman and that he has married Lucie.
