The Unknown Soldier

A story of a thirteen year old boy who lives in North Russia and is forced to make some difficult decisions.

Sailor Alexei takes a job as a loader at the port in order not to leave his two young sons growing up without a mother for a long time. In the port he meets a girl Tanya. The resulting feeling is not an easy test.

Fitil is a popular Soviet/Russian television satirical/comedy short film series which ran for about 500 episodes. Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".

High school student Sergei Krasheninnikov (Krosh) once, quite by accident, meets Vladimir Nikolayevich, an interesting man and collector of netsuke. But soon Krosh discovers that behind this man's open friendliness and decency lie completely opposite qualities. Unwittingly becoming involved in the fanatical collector's devious schemes, Krosh, following his conscience, rushes to untangle and rectify the tense situation.

The Soviet command has alarming information about the new invention of the enemy. According to intelligence, the Nazis delivered a batch of new chemical shells filled with gas of tremendous destructive power to one of the sections of the Eastern Front. The Nazis want to test them in combat conditions, and then apply them on a large scale.

After failing to get into college, Sergei Krasheninnikov goes to visit his grandfather in a small town and starts working on a road construction crew. While working, the builders discover a soldier’s grave. Sergei is tasked with identifying the deceased. He begins his search.

Volkhov Front in 1942. The young political instructor of the counter-propaganda department of the headquarters of the division Rusanov is torn to the forefront. Together with an experienced warrior — captain Shaternikov — the hero gets to the forefront and transmits from the sound transmission programs addressed to German soldiers. A portrait of the era of "Red Terror" during the civil war that followed the Bolshevik revolution, The Seventh Companion offers a character study in General Adamov (Andrei Popov), a law professor in the tsarist army, who is incarcerated by the Bolshevik secret police along with many other members of the bourgeoisie. Finally released into the new world of the Soviet Union, the resigned officer finds that he has lost everything from his old life except a mantel clock that he carries through the night from place to place, until he ends up back where he started.

Shirokov, an engineer and inventor at an electromechanical plant, becomes a victim of street chaos and is hospitalized for an extended period. Upon learning of the incident, his colleagues do everything they can to ensure that Shirokov's latest invention becomes a part of his beloved plant.

A thirteen years old Anton escapes home in order to cross the country and get to his brother who works very far away.

The end of August 1941. At night, a truck rushes along the last road not yet occupied by the enemy to Leningrad. In the back of two — civil aviation pilot Lunin and commissar of the air division Uvarov. Lunin, a man no longer young, experienced, but had not yet been in battle, was sent to the legendary squadron of fighter pilots under the command of Captain Rassokhin. This squadron fought from the first day of the war and has already lost most of its composition.

A murder just happened and it seems the answer is simple on who and how did it. But a casual talk between suspect's mother and prosecutor sets a different point of view on a just opened case.

This literary adaptation was one of only two films made during World War II on the subject of the Civil War following the Bolshevik Revolution, as attention by filmmakers and viewers shifted away from past history and toward the current conflict.

Fifth-grade students, misbehaving during an air-raid drill, smash a cabinet in the physics lab. Lev Prokushev, one of the perpetrators, takes a microscope eyepiece, which is soon discovered in Arkady Zubov's school bag. Arkady categorically denies any involvement in the mischief but refuses to name the culprit.
