A plan soon arises to make a film about the mysterious Canuto, with the villagers playing all the roles.

Over a series of sleepless nights, a narrator drifts through Bolsonaro’s livestreams, selfies, and speeches, searching for the logic of a form of power forged through and by images. By confronting this visual regime with Brazil’s official iconography, the film explores how power is understood, repeated, and asserted through images, at a time when politics increasingly unfolds on screens.

Fifty years after it was recorded, the footage of the graduation of the first and only class of the Indigenous Rural Guard reappears. In 1970, eighty indigenous marched, in uniform, in the courtyard of a police station, to the leadership of the military dictatorship. Fifty years later, the film seeks out these guards - their bodies, their stories, their memories. Fractures, silences, what remains and what is lost in violent Brazilian history.
