Fifteen-year-old Aina is going through her first difficulties. For the first time, she felt lonely and unprotected. The father left after the divorce, the mother is trying to arrange her personal life. The only true friend - grandfather - dies in Aina's arms. For her inconvenient character - the desire to get to the bottom of right and wrong actions - the girl was nicknamed mad. Aina, who cannot tolerate lies, has a hard time both at school and at home. But she is strong because she has her own ideas about a happy life.

Kerim, 7, and his girlfriend Aina have a great deal to do: on the small island on the Caspian Sea where they live with Kerim's grandfather, nature is full of mysteries and men often come and make it upset.

Under these inhuman circumstances, the soul of Georg remains miraculously uncorrupt – he still believes in Little Angel from a children’s song, and he makes a nest for it in a tree. The end of the 1920s. A young oil engineer, Ovez Emudov, arrives in the Karakum Desert to search for oil. The lack of drinking water, necessary equipment, and workers in the barren steppes, as well as the open sabotage of the trust's employees led by Mukhortov, a staunch enemy of the Soviet government, are all factors that the head of the exploration site must contend with. The film is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic.

The brothers find it difficult to adapt in the big, unfriendly city, which makes their life much less simple and familiar than it was at home. The young people seriously question the wisdom of their decision: to dramatically change their lives and completely alter everything that gave their life meaning, or to leave everything unchanged.
