West Berlin, December 1971: Several hundred trainees, students, young workers and young people who had run away from institutions occupied the Georg-von-Rauch-Haus, a building of the empty Bethanien Hospital in Kreuzberg. They want to shape their living and leisure situation themselves. The film was made by a film collective together with the young people and shows what has happened in the Georg-von-Rauch-Haus since the occupation.

A nurse abandoned by her lover and a laid-off worker give themselves over to the hustle and bustle of the big city in their loneliness and search for communication. A telephone misconnection causes them to meet for a few minutes, only to lose each other again immediately.

Just as Mom is pondering the whereabouts of his urn, Dad, who was declared dead, stands at the door! He just wanted to check that everything was okay... The way Dad's unexpected return reopens old wounds in the family that has grown up without him is beautifully true to life.

After his company went bankrupt, hobby musician Erik toured furniture stores on behalf of a furniture company to advertise their products. A task that would be easy to accomplish if it weren't for the criminal brother who steals some furniture and promptly ends up in jail again. In order to quickly raise the necessary money for the deposit, the half-hearted free-walker Goldi persuades Erik to organize a charity tour for his brother. The “tour to paradise” can begin.

Eddie sets out to follow the trail of the crime. He ends up with Katharina, a smart fashion entrepreneur and wife of the missing victim. When she learns that her husband Heinz has obviously been deceiving her for a long time, she starts her own investigation with Eddie's help.

Georg Wilsberg is an antiquarian in Münster. He used to be a lawyer but lost his license. Since then he has been working as a private detective. The always clammy Wilsberg urgently needs this income. In addition, he depends on the support of his friends, especially because of the car.

The unemployed salesman Wolfgang practices optimism, his friend Günther realism: The situation is shitty! But then zookeeper Günther finds a few hundred thousand Euros from his demented neighbor. The mates take the money but also the care for the old man.

Every year, many Germans are preparing to spend their vacations in the sunny south. And they all have to use the same highways. And every year everything ends in a big traffic jam.

In 1989, teacher Wendler and his wife leave the GDR to join his Bavarian uncle. In the West, the line-loyal educator with a whitewashed CV is immediately accepted back into the teaching profession. He advances to become a model Bavarian. Until one day a pupil from bygone GDR days turns up...

Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.
