Lena and Wolfgang Breuer's baby is snatched from the baby carriage in a moment of inattention. Lena Breuer had only taken her eyes off her baby for a moment - and then he disappeared. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.

When Anja is finally ready to start a new life, her husband Thomas is released from a psychiatric ward. He had set fire to the house years ago and threatened his family.
