The talk therapist Roland Arnsberg falls from the clouds when his longtime girlfriend Chris gives him the passport. An affair with Regine, as it were in acute relationship needs, helps Roland though from his mood depression. However, when he learns that she is the wife of his most affectionate patient, his world gets completely out of joint. The turbulent game of hide and seek finally opens the eyes, which is the right woman for him. Only Chris needs a little longer, until you dawn: There can only be one.

Polizeiruf 110 is a long-running German language detective television series. The first episode was broadcast 27 June 1971 in the German Democratic Republic, and after the dissolution of Fernsehen der DDR the series was picked up by ARD. It was originally created as a counterpart to the West German series Tatort, and quickly became a public favorite.

Oliver, a single father from Berlin, and Johanna, also a single parent but from Bavaria, meet and fall in love while on vacation. The widowed teacher and the divorced mother of two soon no longer want to settle for a long-distance relationship. Without further ado, Oliver packs his things and moves with his daughter Holly to the Bavarian province, where Johanna runs a nursery. However, everyday life in a large family thrown together presents everyone involved with unexpected difficulties. Holly is still grieving for her mother and is estranged from Johanna. Her daughter Lisa, who is the same age, is suffering from school problems that are bigger than her mother suspects. And on top of all the family chaos, the heating in the nursery breaks down, jeopardizing Johanna's livelihood.

Teacher Ines and journalist Boris have been happily married for 14 years. But Ines suffers from her childlessness. The film is based on a true story about HIV-contaminated blood products in Germany in the 1980s. The brothers Ralf, Stefan and Thomas are hemophiliacs and live in constant fear of injury. When a new type of coagulant comes onto the market, they seem to be able to lead a normal life. It soon becomes apparent that a disproportionate number of hemophiliacs are contracting HIV, but the Federal Health Office remains inactive. Stefan is the first to die, but he is only diagnosed with pneumonia. While Ralf does not want to accept this, his brother Thomas refuses to accept it, as he is afraid of his family being ostracized by society if his HIV disease becomes public. This leads to a bitter argument between the brothers.
