Naagulu (Chiranjeevi), a snake charmer, falls in love with Menaka, whose adopted brother Raju (Narasimha Raju) is in love with Naagulu's cousin Laxmi (Rati Agnihotri). Naagulu's father has been feeding mixing snake poison in his food since childhood, making Naagulu immune to any snake bite. Two buses collide, with tragic results. We see the past of four passengers: Amudha, a village girl visiting Chennai for the first time, falls in love with Gautham, a stranger, who shows her around the city. And then there's Kathiresan, a metal worker, who's infatuated by Manimegalai, a nurse.
