Movie by Mansour Sora Wade

Mythical story about a fishing village on the south coast of Senegal. Two men in the village are both in love with the same beautiful girl.

When Serigne Ibra finally decides to get married, he declares that his future bride must not only be a ravishing beauty, but also must not have any kind of scar or blemish on her body.

Institutional film directed by Mansour Sora Wade in defense of the Senegalese coastline.

The film, shot in Dakar, Senegal, has testimonials from intellectuals, politicians and religious, who present an overview of the 50 years of independence of the countries of West Africa and the interpretation of the sculpture created recently in Senegal, which it represents, precisely, the African renaissance.

This documentary offers the reflections of filmmakers shot at FESPACO 1991. Djibril Diop Mambéty, David Achkar, Moussa Sene Absa, Mambaye Coulibaly, Idrissa Ouedraogo, Mansour Sora Wade... express their faith in the eternity of African cinema.

A story about desire, choice and the freedom (or lack of it) of young people forced into a traditional practice where a male tags a girl at birth for marriage in adulthood.
