A Dwarf Launches a Little Ball

Sang-gyu is a baseball player suffering from a batting slump. His unlucky streak ends when he meets a girl who is dying of anemia.

Bae Tae-ok was a patriotic Korean who resisted Japanese occupation. After liberation, her husband brainwashes her into accepting the communist philosphy. During the Korean War, she was appointed to lead the Women's League For Communism but was later arrested for her anti-capitalism activities and tried for treason.

Kim Su-im, the mistress of an American colonel, is arrested and charged with being a North Korean spy. While not denying the charge, Miss Kim takes the trial as an opportunity to relate her life as an explanation of why she committed treason as a spy.

An unmarried man in his mid-thirties meets a homeless woman. He allows her to live with him. In return, she must do the household chores. However, to avoid trouble from their conservative landlord, they must pass themselves off as married.

Yeong-cheol, at only 13, is the head of his family and takes care of his mentally incompacitated father and 2 younger brothers. The neighbors take pity on the family and arrange for a young woman to marry Yeong-cheol's father so the children can have a legal guardian.

Sang-hun, a painter, and Yeong-hun, a doctor, are brothers. Sang-hun's girlfriend left him for another man, and he draws her portrait everyday. Yeong-hun, the older of the two, makes a medical mistake, and his young patient dies. Because of the guilty conscience, he abandons the career as a doctor and devotes himself to writing a novel. However, the brothers have high self-esteem and finally overcome their weaknesses to make a fresh start.

His mother having died while giving birth to his younger brother, and his father mentally incapacitated due to a serious car accident, 13-year old Yeong-cheol must look after his yoyng siblings. His neighbors, however, feel that it would be a kindness to have the children sent to an orphanage.

Distraught that he is unable to go to his parent's home for the holidays, Sang-do gets drunk and meets a beautiful woman, but he winds up spending the night in the hospital after being beaten by her boyfriend. Upon being discharged, he finds a blank check on the sidewalk and is torn between following his conscience or his greed.

After failing three times to enter a university, Ha-rim decides to reflect on his personal history and rediscover his roots as a way of finding maturity.

A giant crocodile is killing and frightening people living nearby rivers. Two men, whose wives and daughter have been killed by the crocodile, decide to chase and eliminate it.
