The Mission

Samad goes to the city with his donkey on the advice of his grandmother to learn an industrial job with the help of Mash Baqer. His donkey is kidnapped and he is reported to the local constable. Karim Agha, the owner of a real estate agency, with the help of his apprentice Rahim, enlists Samad to play the role of a rural landowner who has come to the city to sell his land at a cheap price. Karim Agha employs Samad as a construction worker while using Samad's fingerprints under fake land ownership papers.

During an attack in a caravansary in which all the soldiers die, three people manage to flee. After that they accidentally encounter in different places and help each other out.

A busload of College students, returning to Michigan from a Canadian field trip, is stopped at the US border at the time of the Iranian hostage crisis. The group includes a number of Iranian passengers, divided along ideological lines, whose debates about policy and politics soon lead to a full-scale confrontation.

Samad is to be sent to the city courthouse for his fights where he points his finger at others, and he happens to be handcuffed to a male smuggler. Along the way, the smuggler manages to escape with the help of one of his accomplices, and since his hand was tied to Samad's, they are forced to take Samad with them. After they untie the handcuffs, they decide to kill Samad, but the smuggler's accomplice, who was a girl and happened to be the daughter of the gang boss, does not allow them to kill Samad out of emotion. So they take him to a cinema and while Samad is immersed in a Bruce Lee karate movie, they leave him there and leave. Samad becomes fascinated with Bruce Lee and karate after watching the karate movie, and after returning to the village, he tries to teach the villagers karate by imitating Bruce Lee's martial arts moves.

While the village headman and Mashhadi Bagher want to marry Leyla off to Eynollah, Leyla runs away and, together with Samad, sets out for the city. On the way, they encounter two city youths, Sami and Lili, who bear a striking resemblance to them. Samad and Sami, and Leyla and Lili, exchange clothes and head off to the city and the village in each other’s place…

At the moment when the smugglers want to free their friend and the police station officers are unaware, Samad, who is one of the students in the class, enters the fray and traps the fugitive and the group of smugglers, and delivers them to the police station.
