After Buddhism was introduced to China during the Eastern Han Dynasty 2,000 years ago, it not only made up for the shortcomings of Confucianism in terms of ultimate concern for human beings, but also continuously collided and merged with Chinese local culture.

A satirical comedy about a country bumpkin who goes to the big city, and ends up teaching the cynical city folk a few lessons about basic human decency. The hero leaves home for the first time to go to Shanghai, to collect his lottery prize - a brand new apartment. However, when he arrives, he is told by the developers that his apartment block will take a year and a half to complete. He decides to find a job in Shanghai and wait for his apartment to materialise...

Doctor Liu, a work and entertainment therapist in a mental hospital, uses drama rehearsals to let mental patients who have basically recovered in the hospital re-enter the society, learn to be grateful, and get along with others in harmony.
