Tuur, a shoemaker who fled his wedding anniversary, stays at his sister Josée, a familie outcast, and her friend Odette with whom she runs a cabaret. His wife Emma finds herself forced to look after her sick sister-in-law Gerda while runnig the shop.

Inspector Chantal Vantomme starts a new life in Loveringem, aka the Farwest of Flanders as the new coordinator of the small and rural police office. She arrives in a macho world where the apparent tranquillity does not guarantee less crime.

This docudrama has also an important ecological message: Sharks are not the murderous creatures people think they are. More than 60 million sharks are killed and finned by men every year to make shark fin soup. It is important that we recognize the real truth. Marc's message to his children and the world is one of courage, motivation and understanding.
