Yong-ju, Gi-woong and Gi-taek used to be best friends in middle school, but in high school, Gi-woong becomes a member of the gang that bullies Gi-taek. As Yong-ju tries to fix this broken relationship, he realizes his special feeling toward Gi-woong.

When his mother goes missing, Lee Ho-yeon sets out to search for her. In the course of that journey, he discovers his parents' pasts during the democracy protests of the 1980s when student activists rose up against the repressive Chun Doo-hwan regime. Reading a book written by his mother, Ho-yeon uncovers a story of hope, love and betrayal, and struggles to understand painful secrets that have been hidden away for thirty years.

"Short! Short! Short! 2009" is an anthology film commissioned by the Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The film consists of 10 short films centered around the theme of "Money," made by 10 up & coming directors in South Korea.

In 2022, the largest wildfire in the history of the Korean Peninsula erupted in Donghae City. A group of film students were filming a documentary for their graduation project at the site of the disaster in Gangwon Province. After a conflicted crew leaves for Seoul, only the director and cinematographer remain on site. Over time, the director's past secrets and the secret feelings between the director and cinematographer are slowly revealed.
