Small Revolts

The film is a combination of documentary and fiction. A woman from the former Soviet Union, Irina, comes to Greece in search of a better life and falls victim to the sex slave trade (trafficking). She wanders around Athens in search of a friend of hers who has disappeared. Her story unfolds through a series of personal confessions. During these moments of reality, Irina is in some way present as a sort of "suffering angel" who comments on the aftermath, indirectly linking the present to the past, the real to the imaginary

Irina returns to Athens after long absence to find her step-brother. Her brother's friends, an American musician, a young Russian, a heritage-suitcase of her father and a series of odd events drift her into an inner journey...

A lower-class maid navigates the social world of the upper-crust family she works for.

The documentary highlights the perils of today’s energy policy in the so-called post-lignite era. At the heart of the research lies the concept of energy poverty, in other words, the population’s limited access to energy resources that leads to an even greater energy deficiency in society. The movie features experts’ interviews (professors, technocrats, union members, etc.) as well as field research and in situ shooting.
