I Like You Too

Three octogenarians set out on a trip in order to fulfill the dying wish of a lifelong friend, in spite of the disapproval of their families and the limitations of their advanced age. Along the way, they find themselves embroiled in a series of comedic misadventures and meet a cast of colorful characters. Their journey fundamentally alters each characters' sense of self and their place in the world. There is, indeed, life after 80.

An employee about to retire and the young man who is to take over, share five journeys in the work place, an enormous empty warehouse where apparently nothing ever happens.

A girl is possessed by a dark and mysterious entity. She will fight with all the elements at her disposal to get rid of it. Neither her mother, nor traditional medicine, nor a supposed expert in exorcisms, will be able to make the demon disappear, until a nun gets involved in the case and sows a doubt more terrible than the possession itself.

Magdalena makes a journey to find her son, who has disappeared on his way to the Mexican border with the United States. Her odyssey takes her to meet Miguel, a man recently deported from the US. They start to travel together, Magdalena looking for her son, and Miguel hoping to see his mother again.

Humberto works as a night watchman at a remote and desolate construction site. One night he becomes, unwittingly, the sole witness to a cover up. Afraid of being retaliated against lest he come forth, he decides to keep quiet. Gradually and without him being aware of it, Humberto ends up inflicting on his family the same violence from which he´s running away.

The imprint of the past is made present by the return of three migrants to a community in the upper Mixteca region of Oaxaca, where the three stories intersect.

Ligia and Mayte are best friends who are planning the “best quinceañera party ever” in order to achieve the respect and the popularity they so much desire. When a supernatural beast attacks Joel, Ligia’s boyfriend, he manages to escape but he is gradually transforming into something fierce and inexplicable. Ligia will soon discover she is pregnant and the creature that she’s carrying inside is not only a threat to her but to everyone around her.

Angel is an honest accountant that endeavors to do his work. Still, he gets fired. With a family to maintain and no job in sight, Angel sets aside his values and gets entangled with a third rate gang of thieves where he finds friendship, loyalty, self-esteem but no money. If his foray into the criminal underworld doesn't help his family, Angel will have to find another way to survive.

Faced with the imminent death of his father, the town postman, Oscar returns to Mexico for the first time and finds that he is now the only man among the handful of women who inhabit this small place where telephones and internet never reached. While trying to return to the United States, he takes charge of the mail and thus learns the stories and wishes of the inhabitants, including a child who asks about his father's letters. Oscar writes him the long-awaited letters and begins to bond with him and with Martha, his mother. When he can finally leave, he no longer wants to and will have to decide between going back or staying and rebuilding his life.
