The film follows Marie, Jirka and their wealthy parents, as well as murderer Jiří Tichý. The film takes place mostly in southern Moravia.

Honza and Klára became the owners of the winery and parents of mischievous twins. However, everyday worries can be extremely tiring at times, so things are not going so well for them in marriage now. In addition, the crucial time of the winemaking year is coming - vintage. Honza and Klára have a lot of problems - in addition to their marriage, they deal with thefts in the vineyards. Klára struggles with the prejudices of those around her who don't believe that a woman can make quality wine and step over her father's shadow. Years later, Honza meets his irresistible friend Jirka. He enthusiastically rushes to visit to help with harvesting, which of course he does not understand at all. At the same time, he completely forgets to mention to Honz that he is also running away from the debts he managed to collect, and that he has almost kidnapped his adolescent son, who came with him.

Rabbies

Although Czech republic is country free of rabbies, some cases of infected animals appear near one of villages in Sumava region. Virologist Pavel Rogl, that is in his thirties, has task to inspect the situation, supervise the vaccination and find the source of infection. He is also charged to elaborate an expertise for team of police detectives, that are investigating mysterious double homicide. It is possible, that murders are connected to infection. Is it a human murderer, or big beast that escaped?

The smug, aging man has bruised his ribs on the way and his frustration deepens with every passing minute of his stay – the amateurish organization of the festival, the lousy food, the private accommodation with the confused grandmother Pánková. What's more, he has no idea that one of the most unpleasant encounters awaits him, with the local drunk journalist Merhautová. But there is also tension among the students who organize the festival – Míra is ambitious and promiscuous, Šárka is kind and naive, Jana is beautiful and manipulative, and Matyáš is perpetually stoned and childishly in love.

While flying a mission over England, Karel crash lands and happens upon the farmhouse of Susan, a young woman whose husband is in the Navy. Karel soon falls head over heels for Susan but, while they enjoy a brief fling, in time Susan decides she prefers the company of the older and more worldly Franta. As Franta and Karel struggle to maintain their friendship despite their romantic rivalry.
