Bidin Al Zaifa is madly in love with a Thai woman named Cherry Porntit. He proposes to her, but her brother, a Muay Thai champion, doesn't want her to marry him. Events turn for the worse when Bidin's enemy, Al Buqerk, comes after him to settle an old debt. With the help of his friends, Eddy and Aidil, Bidin tries to solve both his romance problem and his enemy problem.

Husin has been working in Singapore for some time and decides to return to his hometown, Banana Village. Upon returning, he feels that his neighbour Mak Limah is strange as she does not speak nor sleep. He then tells patrons at Pak Munawer's coffee shop that Mak Limah might be a ghost. # Translation: It begins with Pornthaliwat who has just been released from prison and is welcomed by Al Buqerk. Pornthaliwat asks about Bidin but until now, Al Buqerk has been unsuccessful in tracking down Bidin. They are kidnapped by Khunna, their leader. Bidin plans to visit Cherry, a Thai girl, and her family in Hatyai to get to know her better before proposing to his love. Bidin invites Eddie to accompany him but Eddie cannot join Bidin as there are some matters he needs to settle in Kuala Lumpur. Bidin finally travels to Hat Yai alone by riding his beloved motorcycle, Aprilla RSV4. However, on the way there, Bidin encounters Al Buqerk who is tracking him down.

After a tragic bus accident on Karak highway, Fami, the sole survivor, struggles to get help until a yellow Volkswagen stops along the highway and takes him on a ride of a ‘lifetime’.

'The Hantus' is produced in five interconnected chapters. 1. The First Chapter tells the story of an individual born deaf and mute, 'Din Pekak'. He works as an express bus driver and was involved in a terrible accident while transporting passengers from Genting Highlands via the Karak Highway. The accident resulted in all passengers, including the driver, being killed at the scene except for Fami (played by Alif Satar). Fami 'woke up' covered in blood and climbed a hill towards the main road to seek help. 2. The Second Chapter features the story of 'Abang Volkswagen Kuning' (Yellow Volkswagen Brother), inspired by a mystery tale said to often trouble highway users traveling on the Karak Highway. Fami, who was involved in the accident moments earlier, waved and screamed for help from cars passing on the highway, but none stopped to assist. Until a yellow Volkswagen stopped on the roadside and approached Fami.
