Spaghetti Story

Giulia is constantly torn between the need to feel at home and be loved and a wild desire for freedom. One day she finds herself homeless and begins, in her own crazy way, to seek shelter and her own place in the world. Between an illusory desire for motherhood and ways to make ends meet, she spends the hottest days of a torrid Roman summer surrounded by elusive characters with empty lives, yet pure and wonderful like her. In a limbo made up of nothing (and everything), Giulia understands that it is up to her to decide how to live, or not to live, her own life.

The meeting between two women who are only apparently different from each other. Anna is in conflict with herself and her family, facing her illness alone; Cristi, on the other hand, flees from a war that keeps her away from home. Everyone advises Anna to follow her partner on a business trip, and Cristi to stay safe in Italy. The meeting between the two, although brief, will be a dive into freedom.

Libero goes back to his hometown to say farewell to his dying grandmother. But granny doesn't die, while past comes back to life with all its overwhelming memories. Libero had shut the door to his un-lived adolescence, never really changing nor growing adult. But all around himself, time has flowed, things have changed. Then, out of the blue, spring rain washes away the wintry stillness. With his eyes now looking forward, Libero comes full circle.
