Bill Maher: New Rules

Lewis Black's Root of All Evil is an American television series that premiered on March 12, 2008, on Comedy Central and was hosted by comedian Lewis Black. The series producer was Scott Carter from Real Time with Bill Maher and the writer was David Sacks from The Simpsons. Sometimes there were pre-recorded video segments directed by supervising producer Michael Addis. Lewis Black's Root of All Evil is formatted as a mock trial acted in deadpan. Black presided over two opposing people or issues; and guest comedians acted as lawyers/advocates arguing that their client/Evil is the Root of All Evil. The series ended on October 1, 2008, with a total of 18 episodes. The series' cancellation was confirmed by Lewis Black in September 2009. The entire first season of Lewis Black's Root of All Evil was released on DVD in the United States on September 30, 2008. The remaining episodes from season two are not currently available on DVD.

Three challengers take on some of the greatest minds in trivia in this exciting showdown of smarts and strategy; the last contestant standing will face off against the episode's highest scoring Master Mind in a head-to-head battle.

Original cast members Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal, David Garrison, Amanda Bearse, Christina Applegate, David Faustino and Ted McGinley reunite in the set of the Bundy's home and share memories from working on the show.

A group of "Beauties" and a group of "Geeks" are paired up to compete as couples for a shared $250,000 and other prizes. Each beauty lives together in a room with her geek during the course of the competition. There are challenges shown each episode, one testing the beauties on a primarily academic subject, and another that has the geeks competing in a more popular/social realm. The winners of the challenges select two teams to compete against each other in a pure "quiz show" type question and answer session: the team with fewer correct answers gets eliminated.

Each week Bill Maher surrounds himself with a panel of guests which include politicians, actors, comedians, musicians and the like to discuss what's going on in the world.

In this family-friendly game show, two teams face off to guess Americans' responses to questions covering a variety of topics.
