A story of two of Mumbai Police's top encounter specialists' fight for control and oneupmanship which goes through a complex maze of politics, land deals, fake encounters and bad money.

Ajay Kumar (Warsi) is the newly appointed, honest SSP of Lucknow police who tries to crack down on the Uttar Pradesh mafia. He establishes a Special Task Force consisting of a physics professor (Pankaj Tripathi) to counter the politically backed criminal Gajraj Singh (Sushant Singh). Loosely based on the real-life late 1990s organized crime wave in Uttar Pradesh.

Armaan's (Arshad Warsi) life is picture perfect; a loving girlfriend and a great job as a fashion photographer. The truth is that he hears voices - voices that torture him, voices that don't let him have his peace, and voices that nobody else can hear. What is even more puzzling is the fact that he talks to himself...or rather, to people, whom no one can see!
