Ravi persuades Devaki to marry him. However, the marriage becomes a bitter struggle for Devaki when she discovers that Ravi is a drunkard and womanizer.

Two college students, the slum child Raja and the dean's daughter Roja, chat with each other over the Internet and fall in love. However, Roja is engaged and Raja cannot bear to disrespect her father, to whom he owes his livelihood.

Prabhu and Sathyaraj are brothers who fall in love with their uncle's daughter Nadia. During the election, Rasappan asks the electors to vote for Velusamy and Rasappan wins it widely. Rasappan becomes an honest MLA and helps his village people, he convinces the villagers to deposit their money in a new bank. The bank manager, Paramasivan's relative, scams Rasappan and the villagers. Rasappan is immediately sent in jail because of Paramasivan's plan. Villagers burn Rasappan's house and steal his properties.

The path of true love does not run smooth in this movie about love, expectations, and the range of abilities and access that different people have in this world.

Dhanushkodi (Raghuvaran) has sworn to kill ex-collector Ramanathan's (Vijayakumar) son and so, Ramanathan has transferred his son Santosh (Pravinkanth) to Mauritius while telling the world that he has ran away. Wishing to save his son, he hires Murthy to act as his long lost son, hoping that Dhanushkodi would kill him instead of his actual son. Murthy too accepts the gig since his lover Preeti (Jyotika) is Ramanathan's niece. In the climax, Santhosh supports Dhanushkodi for killing his father, But Dhanushkodi kills Santhosh. The film ends with Murthy taking the blame for killing Santhosh and surrenders himself to police.

Chandru's friends make fun of him as he does not have a girlfriend. He points out at a girl claiming that she is his girlfriend, due to which a number of unfortunate events take place in her life.

Prakash and Murthy have been thick friends ever since Prakash took Murthy into his house - against the wishes of his own parents - after his father killed Murthy's mother in an accident. So Murthy thinks the world of Prakash. When Prakash goes to America to study, Murthy steps out of the house after overhearing Murthy's parents scheming to send him out disgracefully.Murthy is given accomodation by an old man who is reminded of his son Govind and henceforth starts going by that name.What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
