The sequel to John Lo Mar and Chang Yang's original film finds the naive village immigrant, Ah Niu (Yeh Feng) leaving jail to work and live with his crooked Uncle Chou (Wang Sha) again. But now, his girlfriend Ah Hua (Ai Ti) has become the wife of an abusive husband. As with the bittersweet original, Ah Niu -- with his kind heart but simple mind -- gets caught in various rackets and silly situations.

Ah Niu, swindled of his fortune by cunning crooks, hits rock bottom. A fateful encounter with devious thugs reunites him with Uncle Chou, prompting their escape to the vibrant city of Singapore. Their journey is riddled with absurd mishaps, including a comical episode with a baby and a frantic pursuit by the relentless thugs. This final instalment of the series offers a colourful, wide-ranging tour of Singapore in the mid-1970s, brimming with slapstick humour and heartwarming moments.

In 1974, John Lo Mar co-directed The Crazy Bumpkins, a new variation on the time-tested, beloved Cantonese comedy "Country Bumpkin" tradition. That proved such a success that a sequel, Return Of The Crazy Bumpkins, soon appeared. Now, the third time's the charm, as John Lo Mar gets to both write and direct the third slapstick-filled installment, once again starring Yeh Feng and Wang Sha as the hapless and hilarious yokel Ah Niu and his crafty city-slicker Uncle Chou.

Meanwhile, Dong is eager to match his old frame Bai Jin with the sailor Mai Qin, but Mai mistakes Danlin for Bai and falls in love with her, resulting in a morass of troubles. Finding out Dong's affair with Bai, Danlin calls off the wedding in anger. Dong responds by deciding to marry Jin. Their nuptials are saved with the timely intervention of Mai.

A gem in every sense of the word, Our Dream car features popular idols Ge Lan (Grace Chang) and Chang Yang as a couple of newlyweds who struggle hard to acquire the latest symbol of middle class affluence: a motor car, but only find themselves in alienating situations. Yi Wen's script is full of lively and humorous details, his direction affectionate, while the young stars are charming. The film also paints a picture of a bourgeois lifestyle that was yet to occur in the ex-colony. It has also been aptly compared to the genre of hollywood "bedroom" comedy made famous by Rock Hudson and Doris Day in the 1950s.

On her mother's order, Luk Wai Wai goes to the Shi family to serve her eccentric aunt, Mrs. Shi, but she accidentally witnesses a murder and is almost killed by the murderer, Tam Pak Lam. The murderer, Tam Pak-lam, is almost killed by her. In order to avenge his father's death, Tam Pak-lam sneaks into the Shi family to carry out his murderous plan.

Devotion, should be grim enough a lesson for my teenager in love. Little Kitty Ting Hao suffers due to social evils that ruthlessly rob her of the inalienable right to marry Chang Yang, the man she loves. Her incidental misbehaviour with Chang, which leads to the birth of a fatherless baby, does the final nailing of her coffin. Fortunately their daughter is intelligent and strong enough to be the master of circumstances and fights for her own love.

The film traces the relationships that develop between the protagonist Xu and the three women he meets, set against the backdrop of the Second World War.
