The Dawn

In a drama in which even Gad has a role as well as Michael York, it is certain that serious issues are at stake. Set during the time before the state of Israel was created and established, a British officer has been captured by a band of Jewish resistance fighters with the intent of killing him at dawn. One of the Jews was sentenced to die after being captured by the English, and this death will be in retaliation. The trouble is that a young and ambivalent fighter is left holding the officer captive with orders to shoot him at the pre-arranged time. It is a long night of soul-searching before the Jewish soldier comes up with a solution to his quandary.

April Fool

A modern-day children’s fairy tale that is also a parody of prank films which, in 1980s Israel, were a highly popular film genre. In the magical land of Bubble Gum where all children’s dreams are made, live two princesses: the kind-hearted Tzipi (Tsippi Shavit) and her wicked sister, Pitzi (Seffy Rivlin). Every year on 1 April (April Fools’ Day), the princesses’ birthday, the two hold a prank competition amongst themselves, with the winner getting to rule the land of Bubble Gum for one year. Rounding off Shavit and Rivlin’s adventure and prank fest is a talking robot and a group of children including one Natasha Braunstein – who will go on to become US actor Natasha Lyonne of Orange is the New Black and Russian Doll fame.

Melting Away

Shlomo who discovers in his son's Assaf room, women's clothing and accessories, decides to 'teach the boy a lesson'. When Assaf returns to his parents' home on a rainy night from a party, his attempts to enter home fail. His father, with the silent consent of his mother, locked the door. At present, 4 years later, Gallia turns to an investigation agency to help her find her son Assaf and bring him to Shlomo, his father who is dying of cancer. One night, at a night club in Tel Aviv, Assaf is seen performing as a beautiful transgender lady singer who goes by the name of Anna. After a few days a private nurse turns up at Shlomo's room at the hospital, sent as she claims by the insurance agency to assist Shlomo. The nurse is Anna (his son Assaf) and she manages to conquer Shlomo's heart by her charming personality and her special attitude toward life.

White Night

A film depicting the process of weaning a criminal prisoner, Charlie, from drugs, with the help of another prisoner, Shlomo, and with the help of several key personnel from the prison service, who lend a hand to the success of the project. A New Spirit

A drama inspired by the best-selling autobiography "Why Me" by Jacob Damkani. "A New Spirit" tells the story of two brothers, Jacob and Shmuel, who grew up in a poor, traditional Jewish family. As they mature, Shmuel becomes more orthodox and religious while Jacob is exposed to Christianity and ends up becoming a leader of Messianic Judaism, spreading the word of Jesus. Shmuel and the entire Orthodox community treat Jacob as a radical missionary and accuse him of stealing pure Jewish souls. The conflict between the two brothers escalates to real violence when an attempt is made to kill Jacob, causing the dissolution of the entire family.
