The Joke

Carla is the maid of a rich family. Cosimo is a child neglected by his parents. Two souls wounded by indifference in an austere and deafening villa. A mother looking for a son, a son in need of a mother.

Guido spends a hot June day in the swimming pool of his villa. A series of employees and people visit him, but the last guests could reveal an uncomfortable truth.

A man dines alone at a Michelin-starred restaurant and quickly catches the attention of the young maître. Course after course, an unexpected waltz of flavors and confidences unfolds between them. But an unspeakable truth is capable of changing the restaurant's fortunes.
