Time of the Comet

Mickey, an illegal Albanian who used to live in London, is a part time Elvis Presley impersonator. He gets a job entertaining British peacekeeping troops in the 1999 Balkans wars. When backstage problems ensue, Mickey (dressed as Elvis Presley) flees - straight into the war zone. He meets and is captured by a group of children refugees caught up in the merciless war.

An Albanian emigrant is caught in Amsterdam among the promise and allure of the sin-filled city.

During WW2 partisans try to hide from their enemies, while old villagers mourn the deceased of the war.

Albania's top censorship institution of the 1970s - Comrade Zylo is a genius bureaucrat. He orders the talented writer Demka to draft a speech on ideological issues. Demka realizes that he has become a slave to a Machiavellian propaganda master of his superior. In this absurd world, Demka falls in love with Zylo's wife, Adila.

Shot in 1993 just after the fall of the regime, it represents the understanding of the director at this time with the knowledge of over 60 years separation from the world. The film draws parallels to the life of Enver Hoxha's wife.
