The Maintenance

The action of the film takes place in one of the provincial towns, where on the occasion of the relocation of the defense plant and, as a result, the opening of the city for foreigners, they meet the "Caravan of Peace". They make a whole performance out of an ordinary event: ten loaves are baked and they are going to hand them over to the guests according to the old Russian custom, but suddenly they discover that the eleventh bread has appeared..

They decided to arrange a test for the new student: she must spend an hour in a "haunted house." The ghost turns out to be a big black dog.

The plot is based on the creation of a folk dance ensemble in the Palace of culture.

A man in his 30s visits a Soviet school to try to hook up with a young teacher there, and meets one of her students, whom he enlists to help introduce him to his romantic interest. While he waits for the student to free up, he observes the absurd Soviet culture, most evident within the school system, especially among the younger children.

A documentary film dedicated to Galina Andrusenko, a courageous 17-year-old girl who organized the Amur-Nizhnedneprovsky Komsomol underground in occupied Dnepropetrovsk.
