The Sweet Country of My Childhood
Roger Joly and his wife Monique have been happily married for 17 years and share three children. Roger is a highly respected sales manager at a luxury car dealership. However, his peaceful life shatters completely during a routine police identity check. The authorities accuse him of identity theft, claiming he has been living under a false name for nearly two decades. In reality, his birth name is Aziz Bensala. Caught between the identity he wanted to leave behind and the French life he built and desired at all costs, Roger is forced to fight for the only life he knows, even as the law stands against him.
