Et quand l'aube viendra

Two young people join for a spring walk on the hill above the village. André tries to share his doubts with Lina. She tells him about her dreams and a medieval song where the Virgin Mary saves a monk who struggles with the devil. All around, birds, neighbors, come and go peacefully. Trees blossom.

Two cousins, Jean and Estelle, meet up for a walk. They're happy to see each other, but it's a strange year: whole swathes of the forest have been cut down and the paths have disappeared. Soon, a young man who had been sleeping under the trees crosses their path. He brings the sun with him.
