After her mother's death, Ayie takes on the responsibility of caring for her younger sister Aina. They live independently and stay in a house left behind by their mother. Ayie works as a street sweeper to support both of them. Kak Azah and Abang Zul are neighbors who frequently offer assistance to the siblings.
