I Am a Director

A quirky romantic dramedy that tells the story of a girl who believes in relationships and marriage, and who falls for a comic book and superhero-loving man who does not share her same beliefs.

Two middle age Latinas from the East Coast, stop by along the Malibu Coast, on their way to Northern California. Both from conservative families. They have done something momentous today, defying cultural stereotypes imposed by their own culture. A phone message from a beloved young nephew offering unconditional love, reveals to us, the life changing decision they have made.

Carlos is an ex-con looking for a job where he earns a lot of money without having to work hard. After discussing it with his cellmate, they conclude that the only work to fit the description is to be politician in Puerto Rico. Carlos decides to run for Governor, like every politician always seeking for the best for his country, and of course, looking for what's best for him.
