Despondency

A girl named Tara says goodnight to her Mom and brother and settles into bed with a snack and her phone. In the darkness, her face is lit only by the screen as she watches TikToks. When she reaches for her phone charger, something touches her hand-twice. Alarmed, she looks under the bed and briefly sees a hand move. Terrified, she hides under the covers, then peeks out and spots a figure sitting in the dark corner of her room. Each time she looks, it's closer.

Two friends set out on a road trip in search of adventure, but their journey takes an unexpected turn when they arrive in a remote small town. The locals warn them not to stay out after dark, offering little explanation for their concern. As night falls, the pair begins to uncover the horrifying reason behind the town's warning and struggles to survive the night.

Olivia (Sydney Lovering), a quiet barista, finds herself drawn to Logan (Nathan Mucher), a dark and enigmatic man who offers her the freedom and excitement she's always desired. As their relationship grows, the tension with Olivia's controlling mother intensifies, with her disapproval threatening to tear them apart. Logan becomes overly protective, yet something about him remains mysterious. Olivia holds onto the promise of their future together, but the lingering sense that Logan is hiding something may soon challenge the very foundation of their love.
