This stop motion animation celebrate diversity in relationships. It tenderly presents the connective power of love that never discriminates between gender or colour. The film depicts a simple ‘falling in love’ between two shy men, one black and one white, who work in the same office. Through the act of sharing some biscuits they connect and we see how they spend a lifetime together from that one precious moment in time.

This new stop-animation film by Lili Giacobino called “This too shall pass”, is a dramatic gothic tale of the resilience and strength that we can embody when we allow space for healing after experiencing an emotional dagger to the heart. The film illustrates the transition from anguish to rage through to stillness and settlement and concludes with a reminder that ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’.

This stop motion animation exposes that big elephant in society’s room that expects us all to fit into a predetermined box of ‘normality’ and delicately reveals the return to joy when we are able to embrace ourselves exactly as we are.

In this claymation, Lili Giacobino wanted to explore the subject of isolation and boredom in lockdown and how to use creativity to connect or reconnect with the outside world.

Craftmanship has been Lili Giacobino's world for most of her life and she decided to create this artwork as a love letter to everything handmade with care and imagination.

Set in contrasting homes, council buildings, and a pub - we are transported into a familiar world that feels personal and relevant to us all and gives us an empowering message of how we have the choice to walk away from what no longer feels true and live the name that we choose.
