Mathieu distanced himself from his Turkish community to climb the social ladder. A determined lawyer, he works hard to become a partner at an influential Parisian law firm. Halit is an old retired man, who lives in a small village in Turkey. His life is planned around his phone calls with his son every Thursday who is making the military service.

Due to unpaid wages, Elif and her husband are deep in debt. Elif’s husband wants to return to Turkey, but she believes there’s a better future for her son in France.

Hakan is a young Turkish house painter who works in France with his father Mustafa. The revelations that will be made to him over a cup of coffee grounds are going to push him to make major decisions in his life. For the first time, Mustafa will have to face his son’s choices.
