Alfonso and Mariano are two former classmates who, after a long time without seeing each other, decide to go out for dinner. At the restaurant, they find a dead person and, driven by their obsession with detective movies and TV series, they believe they are capable of determining what happened to the victim. As they work together on the case, their differences begin to create tension between them, realizing that their friendship has slowly faded over time.

"The Reeds Stopped Growing" is an observational short film focused on the Batuco wetland in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, Chile. It aims to showcase the wetland's ecosystem and how human settlement adjacent to this area has triggered not only a loss of biodiversity but also a severe drought impacting the entire region.
