Googly is a 2013 Kannada romantic comedy film directed by Pawan Wadeyar and produced by Jayanna Combines. Yash and Kriti Kharbanda are the lead actors while Ananth Nag and Sadhu Kokila play the primary supporting roles. The film released on 19 July 2013 and opened to a fantastic response at the box office. The film was declared a "Blockbuster".

The film is about Govinda, played by Komal, saving a software engineer who wants to attempt suicide. The software engineer tells Govinda why he tried to end his life and asks Govinda, who is also on the top of a building intending to jump off, for his story. Govinda tells his story in flashback about how he cheated on three girls and how he was cheated by the fourth one.

Venkata and Govinda meet while they are both attempting to commit suicide. However, things take a turn when they decide to share their life story with each other.

Manas, Mani and Mauni are at a critical stage in their lives wherein Manas is caught in a love triangle, Mani is on his way to become a crime boss and Mauni resorts to corruption for political gains.

The film, titled Venkya, is said to trace the protagonist’s life journey. Interstingly, Sagar Puranik is not only directing Venkya but also acting in the film. The director and actor, who has previously played a supporting character in Ring Road Shubha will be playing the titular role in Venkya. The upcoming project is produced by Apeksha and Pavan Wadeyar under the Wadeyar Films banner, along with Avinash V Rai and Mohan Lal Menon.
