Rwanda: Mi última utopía

It presents the struggle of the first unionized workers, after a strike for the implantation of the eight-hour day and the union right, in the sugar valleys of Peru. It is the story of the first union in the city of Trujillo, organized in 1921.

A meditation on violence and its recurrence in time. It shows circumstances that make vagrants unable to make their life better. They try to survive, albeit not sheltered correctly.

This powerful political drama follows the adventures and escapades of "La Gringa", a likeable criminal capable of escaping from any jail. When he escapes from one with the help of an imprisoned intellectual, "La Gringa", returns in disguise to help pay back the favor but finds himself caught in a prison riot.

La Restinga is located in the principal Peruvian Amazonic city, Iquitos. It is an association that works supporting endangered children and teenagers, such as street working children. Their saint is the Shoebox's Jesus Child, represented as a shoebox kid. One important work of La Restinga is to organize the children in order them to produce videos and reports. Amazonico follows the kids and films the characters they present: a disabled man who dances for a living, a gay soccer team, the well-known orchestra The Explosion Group, Huerequeque -who was an actor in the Werner Herzog`s film Fitzcarraldo-, a story-teller known as the Llullampero, and amazonic painters.

The film immerses us in the history and culture of this Amazonian people and tells us about their tough fight against terrorism.
