The Expulsion from Paradise
A panorama of the full-blown chaos of the Ukrainian 1990s. Workers at the Berdyansk knitwear factory are holding a fashion show of their products on an Azov Sea beach, former collective farmers are catching camels in the Ukrainian deserts and making money by taking photos with them, while in Kyiv, job fairs are taking place at the Ukraine Palace, and inside the Pokrovsky Monastery, a suspicious organization is operating that “re-educates” the unemployed but exhibits certain signs of slavery.
