Um Gosto Assim

An essay film in which three young people unearth a clandestine archive of Brazilian cinema and plunge into a Dadaist–Third World delirium. Amid forbidden images and personal memories, they implode the very idea of Brazil.

Inside a socio-educational detention unit, five youths in conflict with the law plan their own film as a way to find meaning in their time behind bars. Through a hybrid process that blends documentary and fiction, TWENTY TWENTY FOUR dissolves the reality of juvenile crime and confinement into a sensory experience—exploring rebellion, boredom, and traces of tenderness within a space defined by abandonment.

In Brazil, women's football has already been banned, has been the target of sexist comments and still receives less investment than men's practice in several aspects. However, instead of stopping them, women have fought to break down these barriers and continue to grow in the sport. "Beyond the impediment" is a short documentary that uses different perspectives to address women's persistence and passion for football. Here, it's forward and the game continues. This film was created and produced by students of the NÓIS NO DOC ONLINE 2023 course, carried out as part of the É NÓIS NA FITA project.
