Clara reluctantly returns to her childhood to be with her sister, Alma, and help pack up their recently deceased mother's house. When a vase is accidently broken, the unsaid words between the two sisters come to the surface.

Henning is a grown man who still lives at home with his mother. He spends most of his time in his room, eating his mother's homemade food while watching his favorite anime, Kimiko's World. Henning is obsessed with the main character, a small white rabbit named Kimiko. As Henning's grip on reality fades, his mother's worries grow.
