VAMPIRO

Based on the poetry collection by writer Robert Rodríguez, Gray Stage is a triptych that composes the author's creation in images that transcends the literary. A woman, who will narrate the poems, will guide with her words and superimpositions the different echoes of the writer.

Two young men relate stories about mystic and historic locations of the Carabobo state in Venezuela. They question the beliefs that revolve around the prevailing figures, while they ponder about the meaning of faith and symbols.

Inspired by George Berkeley's phrase, Dante Garde interprets the meaning of this philosophical thesis through the interaction between a man and a woman within dreamlike spaces, suggesting how impossible it is to escape socialization.

Although he strives to think for himself and develop his own judgment daily, it is difficult for Antonio when the opinions of others resonate louder than his own.

A poem by Sophia Ron brought to life. Silhouettes, shapes, caresses; death. Even irony and a strong youth alienation plague the images. But what will the kids do about it?

A juxtaposition of two types of alienation: social and spiritual. While the concept itself refers to an estrangement from the self, it also explores how the subject loses their identity to social trends. The film portrays two groups of alienated individuals at different parties: the 'happy' party, where everyone smokes and drinks simply to conform, and the 'sad' party, where alienation is spiritual and intrapersonal. Although their realities differ, both groups hear the same thing: the sound of being alive.
