Whose Shoes Are These ?

Tami is a widow in her 60s and Beno is a widower in his 70s. She is optimistic, always smiling, and still talking to her husband who has been dead for a few years already. Beno is tougher on the outside, but also still suffering from the loss of his wife. Tami and her husband were successful singers so now she lives comfortably in a beautiful retirement home. He, on the other hand, is finding it hard to pay the monthly rent. Notwithstanding their differences in lifestyle and personality, and their interfering offspring and neighbors, they eventually fall in love.

After a decade of estrangement, Marcelo receives a surprising message from his sister, who lives in Argentina: she is sending their blind father and their sister with special needs to Israel to stay for an indefinite period. The unexpected family reunion disrupts his daily routine and brings back memories, emotions, and old wounds. In the midst of this new and unplanned reality, Marcelo is forced to confront an unresolved past and responsibilities he did not choose, and embarks on a journey centered on family, belonging, and the ability to love even when everything is complicated.

Vicky (Angelica Vale) travels to Israel dressed as a nun to find her estranged husband, who is an illegal salsa dancing teacher in Tel Aviv. On her way there she meets Yoni (Angel Bonanni), a shy University professor who helps her go through Israeli customs.

A romantic dramedy that tells the story of sensitive man, jilted by his partner. He sits alone in his dark, empty flat in front of his typewriter, waxing nostalgic about his past relationships, and all of his loves and losses – from childhood to date. The film’s soundtrack features some of Israeli pop and rock’s most memorable tunes of the 20th century, including The High Windows’ First Love (‘ahava rishona’), Matti Caspi’s After You’ve Gone (And You) (‘acharei shenasat – ve’otach’), and Gazoz’s She’ll Never Know (‘hi lo teda’).
