Bakery entrepreneur August Kassinen is worried about his musician son, who is going on a tour with his singer girlfriend. Kassinen's business affairs do not go smoothly, and through misunderstandings related to black market transactions, he gets into trouble with the police.

The story is set in Helsinki's revue theater Punainen Mylly, run by Jalmari Haapala with Erkki Pajula as its lead singer. Between performances, dancer Kaarina and doctor Kalle are offered the chance for romance, despite some misunderstandings.

Erkki, a journalist, suffers from epilepsy and agrees to be sterilized in order to marry his fiancée Helena. Unhappy about his infertility, Erkki begins to drink more and more, and eventually Helena returns to Helsinki to continue her studies. There she meets Associate Professor Sysikorpi, who falls hopelessly in love with her.

Wager is Count Mauritz Armborg, the young master of the estate. Linnanheimo plays Katariina (Catherine) the nanny to Mauritz's nieces and nephews. The two fall in love and decide to escape to Italy via Denmark where they have planned to get married. There are always complications because Mauritz's grandmother doesn't want him to marry below him - she has decided that Mauritz is to marry the Swedish beauty, Ingeborg Liliecrona.

Bank clerk Aarno Harjus is dismissed from his job due to false criminal allegations, and at the same time his wife leaves him. With the help of his friend, Detective Inspector Erä, Harjus gets the opportunity to appear on the radio under the pseudonym Con Amore. Like many other women, nurse Rauni also becomes interested in the handsome singer.

Frustrated housewife Elisabet Avovirta has a spring romance with a younger man, journalist Jaakko Huhtikuu. Love sprinkles in the rays of the spring sun and eventually bubbles over the edges.

An artist bases a painting for a revealing lingerie ad on a photo of a girl he had found torn from a magazine, not knowing that the girl is in fact the daughter of the Finnish minister of finance. A scandal is about to erupt, and the artist is given 48 hours to find a strikingly similar-looking female model who could serve as his alibi. The minister's daughter decides to fool the artist by pretending to be a lowly girl of the streets, whom the artist then recruits as his "model".

Unexpected romance is in the air when a young woman from Finnish boarding school meets an American millionaire.

After many mishaps, City Engineer Volmari arrives at the masquerade ball wearing a suit of knight's armor from the museum. He dances with his blind date crush Raili until Bertha, the black singer from the circus, pulls him away and a new whirlwind of misunderstandings begins.

The S/S Vellamo heads to Alexandria with Kaarina, the daughter of the ship's owner Hallerman, on board. As Kaarina trades places with the family's housekeeper Marja, first mate Yrjö takes a liking to Marja whom he believes to be miss Hallerman. Meanwhile Kaarina, pretending to be a member of the cleaning staff, starts getting close with lower ranking officer Kalle Aaltonen.

Pharmacy student Aina Zinck and doctor Yrjö Kallio are a young couple who are drawn into patterns of jealousy in their small Finnish town.

February Manifesto was Yrjö Norta's and Toivo Särkkä's Finnish movie from 1939. It is a Finnish historical drama about developing independency based on book of the writer Mika Waltari. Movie Starring Tauno Palo and Regina Linnanheimo. For it's anti-soviet thematics it was banned in Finland from 1944 to 1987.
