The Vacation Begins

Anraku, a budding music video director, was losing sight of what was important due to his overly reliant personality. At that moment, his best friend, musician Ryuichi, refused to shoot a video for him. Shocked, Anraku was driven by anger and impulse to take action.

Yoyogi Johnny is a high school boy who gets on the nerves of his strong-willed girlfriend by spending his time loafing around the school squash club with its eccentric members and meeting his childhood friend Kagura, a recluse. His attitude changes when new girls show up in his world: Deko, a full-throttle passionate new squash player who inspires him to train, and Izumo, a country girl living in Tokyo and working part-time at a used book store. Little by little, Johnny’s daily life changes with romance, friendship, club activities and a squash team competition.

Niko is cast in the main female role in the stage play "Clingy Girlfriend". In contrast to her role, she is unable to express her feelings to the manager of her part-time job, who she has feelings for. When her manager's ex-wife appears at their place of work, Niko's love only grows. Meanwhile, Kaburagi, author of the source novel of "Clingy Girlfriend", lives in obscurity. After his new novel is harshly put down by the publisher, he is told that his editor and former lover, Chi-bou, is leaving the publishing house, and his love for her is rekindled.

Yukko, who majors dance in an arts university, continues to live together with her ex-boyfriend, recognizing each other as "good partner". Recently, she is bothered by her possibility to study abroad, as well as presence of her classmate Tabe, who is close to her seniors at the university. From another perspective, her senior Taki, who has graduated from the university, has been duped by his ex-girlfriend, who is getting married with other guy. Taki, who can't see future ahead, is still unable to move on from his university days.
